Being A Founder Is Hard

I see so many 18-23-year-olds getting hooked on entrepreneurship! (It’s amazing.)

I often say to younger entrepreneurs, “Don’t forget creating a successful business is hard.” It sounds simple, but the way social media portrays being a CEO/business owner and the reality of it could not be farther apart.

I started three companies between the ages of 20-23. MIA Streetwear Gallery was my first company, which showed me what it was like to make money online. Over three years, I sold over 2,000 pairs of sneakers and clothing and built the business to generate over six figures in revenue annually. With that, I was able to build TheBotSpot, a bot rental Discord that grew to over 7,000 members, 50 employees, and partners, also generating over six figures in annual revenue. Within that Discord server, I built Dre’s Botting School, a training program I developed that sold out 10-15 monthly spots at $500 each, every month for 11 months straight.

Why do I tell you all this? They all failed, lol.

Building a business is hard, but building a business that lasts is even harder.

I am still struggling to find what my next winner will be, whether it’s the podcast, my supplement company, or this newsletter—who knows?

What I do know is I’ll be taking all of you on that journey with me!

As I begin to write this from a more personal lens, I would love feedback from readers so I can continue to grow as a writer. Trust me, there is a lot of room to grow!
